Andreessen mumbled, Plumbers getting humbled, and an Office Broker fumbled... kind of.
Drake bumping and a few buttons unbuttoned kinda fire though...
NEW Thursday newsletter edition starting TODAY.
Every Thursday we’re putting on our social-media-troll hats and reporting back from the mean streets where social media (and sometimes regular news/media) meets commercial real estate: what CRE people are saying about AI, what tech people are saying about real estate, what everyone is saying about everything, and the posts we couldn’t stop screenshotting.
The posts, the takes, the receipts. Reply with what we missed. Por favor.
Opinions are our own - and yes, we (Jake and Quinn) have a funny side too.
POST OF THE WEEK 🏆:
Our take: STRONG AGREE. Last week Quinn was at a car dealership buying a Tacoma (LFG!). The salesman spent twenty minutes telling Quinn how AI was going to transform "the entire business." He'd never opened Claude… once. Quinn still bought the truck, though. The Loudest AI Evangelists...
📍 WHAT HIT THE FEED?
Our take: Half of LinkedIn turned this podcast into “AI is overhyped - even the biggest VC can’t explain it.” Well, here at the AI for CRE Collective, in Marc we trust. Love, love, love the takeaways. “AI Alpha.”
Our take: Three things we didn’t have on the 2026 bingo card - a Fortune 150 office leasing rep doing pull ups in a suit, a “space for lease” marketing video that’s actually good, and Drake as the soundtrack for Class A NYC office. Residential agents have been making content like this for years. Peter may be the George Washington, Wilbur Wright, Neil Armstrong of office leasing agents leaning into content. We’re rocking with Peter. Peter's Banger.
Our take: OMG this guy is actually trying to sell “subleasing” as a true, revenue-generating real estate strategy. This guy must’ve NEVER been a broker 😂. #Fugazi.
Our take: I mean common, if you want to make millions call this guy. The pond is full with largemouth bass.
Our take: Please lord don’t be a bubble. Please.
Our take: Shooters shoot. You don’t get what you don’t ask for. Class A Plz.
Our take: All these companies out here building AI-power dialers, voice agents, and property management assistants to take calls. But no one is out here building the AI call screener who screens for AI robocalls. Next unicorn? If the AI for CRE doesn’t work out we’ll be the AI for SPAM-call guys. The Dirt Dog.
Our take: Anything sold as “delivered on autopilot” in real estate is… drumroll please… #fugazi. AI is a force multiplier on judgment, not a replacement for it. The investor search that actually works is not (I repeat, is NOT) an autopilot agent - it’s you, with a sharp Claude workflow, working a list ten times faster than you used to. If a tool’s marketing copy is “set it and forget it” - set it down, and forget it. #garbagio.
Our take: Good post. (And he’s a collective member). Common LA… really need to see something different from you these days.
Our take: Sean, do us a favor and let us play the “Sean Ward” card, alright? 2x CBRE this week. That’s what we like to see from the world’s biggest CRE firm! #1 Industrial Broker right here, folks.
Our take: That’s a COMP. Nice. We’re at $2,500 ARR. Congrats Beehiiv! Should we hop over to the dark side?
That’s a wrap, folks.
Every Thursday, we’re here, hats on, ready to troll. Drop your favorite CRE or AI social media moment from the week in the comments - and if you posted something you want us to feature next Thursday, send it over. We’ll give it a good ole review.
Man, do we love commercial real estate social media. 🤝
See you Friday for the news, news.

WHAT’S COMING UP
Set4 Podcast Drops | Wednesday, June 3rd | 12 AM PT | What happens when you put AI on the other side of the permit desk? We sat down with Ed McLean of Set4 for a fully raw, never-seen-it-before live demo. He pulled up a real Knoxville multi-family submission, ran it through the platform, and the tool surfaced 227 possible code issues. Then it did the harder thing: it told the reviewer which 20 to actually comment on. Ed’s claim is that this cuts a big-project review roughly in half. His bigger claim is the one that will start arguments. Full episode dropping next week!
Thursday, June 4 | 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET | DealGround Webinar | We just broke down DealGround in one of our Tool of the Week newsletters earlier this month (160M property records, full ownership data in one search bar, retail and industrial deep-dive). Now we’re going live with the team for a working session. Dan Mosher and the DealGround team will run the platform on real deals, walk through the 2026 roadmap (multifamily, office, the open-ended AI query layer), and take questions from attendees live. If you’re a retail or industrial broker, block the time. If you’re in multifamily or office, this is the one to attend so you understand exactly what’s coming for your asset class.
